First Aid Officer’s Orange Shirt Level 2 & Blue Shirt Level 1 v They will be supplied by the Home or Host Club where the visiting Club is unable to have these staff available. v They must be visible to both teams competing. Near the Timekeepers table is preferred. Where fields are separate FAO’s would be required in a central position with electronic communications to each field. v The 1st Aid Officers are in place to administer 1st Aid ONLY. v They must not (except to administer 1st Aid) enter the field of play to give water or instructions. v The FAO will assess injuries to all players taking part and will administer the policies regarding replacements in relation to Head Injury Policies etc. v They will make the final decision on whether or not an injured player returns to the game. v All FAO’s must be accredited and must supply relevant information upon request from the Ground Manager. v All FAO’s must also have an Official Identification Card displayed for the Ground Manager as per CCDJRL rules. v All FAO’s must wear their correct coloured shirt in relation to their accreditation along with appropriate enclosed footwear. League Safe Trainers Yellow Shirt v Each team may have a maximum of 2 LST’s. v They are to supply water to players, may give short instructions to players via the Coach and assist with making replacements. v A LST must take the field in an onside position only !! v They must not loiter on the field and after supplying water etc must vacate the field of play immediately and quickly. v The LST can only enter the field of play during a break in play or to assess an injured player. I.E when the referee signals a stop in play to award a try, deliver a caution or when a player is injured etc. or when their team is in possession. v A SCRUM IS NOT A BREAK IN PLAY. When a referee has ruled a scrum the LST must NOT enter the field of play. v LST’s must not walk the sideline (except to assist with replacements). v LST’s must stay in close proximity to the bench and must not give instructions from the bench. v LST’s are expected to remain within the guidelines of the League Safe program. v It is preferred, that after they have assessed the player, to signal for an FAO for further assistance if required. v All LST’s must be accredited and must supply relevant information upon request from the Ground Manager. v All LST’s must also have an Official Identification Card displayed for the Ground Manager as per CCDJRL rules. v All LST’s must wear a yellow Trainers Shirt and appropriate enclosed footwear. Coaches v Coaches must not yell instructions from the bench. Use your LST’s. If this is your style of coaching you will be required to stand behind the restricted area of the field. However, once you have made the decision to coach in this style you must remain behind the restricted area for the entire match. v All Coaches must be accredited and must supply relevant information upon request from the Ground Manager. v All Coaches must also have an Official Identification Card displayed for the Ground Manager as per CCDJRL rules. Team Managers v All Team Managers are bound by the exact same boundaries as the Coach in relation to the reserves bench. v Team Managers must also have an Official Identification Card to be eligible to sit at the reserves bench. v Team Managers must ensure that their team is signed on by half time of the preceding match and sighted by an opposition official. You must also respond in same for your opposition. v Team Managers will ensure that his team has a Timekeeper and a Touch Judge for the game. (touch judges must be 2 years older than the age of players competing and MUST be wearing enclosed footwear, NO THONGS) v Team Managers must assist the Ground Manger in keeping control of unruly spectators and officials upon request. v Team Managers must also have an Official Identification Card displayed for the Ground Manager as per CCDJRL rules. Tee Runners v Simply, a Tee Runner is one of your LST’s. v Anyone who runs onto the field must be an accredited LST. Therefore children under the age of fourteen years cannot run the Tee and only 2 LST’s are permitted to enter the field of play. The Reserves Bench v The Reserves Bench is a restricted area located close to the Timekeepers table. v It is for players who are participating in the current match being played. v It is NOT for players who, although a member of the team are not competing in the current game. v The Reserves bench will only contain a) Reserves, b) One coach (except where an Accredited Assistant Coach has been indicated on the Grading Sheet), c) One Manager, d) Two League Safe Trainer,s, e) Two First Aid Officer,s. One Level 1 and 1 Level 2
